Vlad Dogaru

  • Worker ant, the programming kind. I work for Ixia doing Linux kernel development and network programming; it's great. In the past I have interned with Intel, Facebook, Freescale.
  • I help out with USO and other operating system related activities when I get the chance.
  • Open source fan, trying not to be a zealot.
  • Linux user at work (by choice), Windows user for games. I like games. Some of what I am currently enjoying: Civilization V, Crusader Kings 2. Please do not mention WoW, I will think you are a mindless drone.
  • I like beer a lot, people usually say this should be the first bullet point.
  • Raised in Brăila, you might notice that.
  • I might look intimidating, I don't believe in smiling when there is no reason to. I don't really like people, but I try to hide that.
  • Very bad at remembering names, sorry.

Fields of interest: operating systems, kernel programming, networking, open source, functional programming.

I speak C (only a bit of C++), Python, Haskell, Java (only reluctantly). I like finding out about new programming languages, as long as they are not Ruby.
